This is at an extremely low temperature. Also note this isn't synthetic oil. I use 15 w40 synthetic in my truck and I've NEVER seen it close to that viscous. And yes I change my own oil. Typical internet BS. Have some common sense.
What temperature?
My truck uses 5W-30. I put 5W-20 in it. First the 20 is thinner yes. Winter is here and I get better oiling. I plan on leaving it for summer because I noticed a slightly higher oil pressure and that's a good thing. To much pressure and could blow seals, etc. I don't see that. So 20 will stay. I also feel circulation of the oil would be cooler upon return and be enough and not thinned down due to heat.
How do you do a viscosity test with bad oil 😭😭😭ts horrible especially for 0W-30
higher viscosity in summer and lower in winter. hell with what this says
20w-50 just said nah I’m not coming out today.
what was this? 40 below?
old video of oil after being in a deep freezer
real world temperature plays a role in life. it may say 5w but I might run 10w it also depends on driving habits
Viscosity is very important.
