I thought consecutive meant at the same time. not one after the other. I guess I was wrong. I don't know how all that works. I been to jail more then a few times but nothing serious. they do sentencing this way for serious crimes in case the defendant wins an appeal on any of the convictions he will still spend the rest of his life in prison on the convictions he didn't get overturned. the likelihood of winning an appeal on every single one of these charges would be nearly impossible.
