What was the purpose of using the lighter to shoot butane fuel (it wasn't ignited as far as I could tell) on the needle, couldn't wait 15 seconds for it to cool down? And why all the gook on the syringe needle in the first place? And one last thing, why not use a small flat washer with a small hole in it (like one for a #6 or smaller machine screw) instead of a bottle cap with the serrated edges that would possibly hurt your fingers?
