I always answered the door with a gun in my hand. Yet I am smart enough to look through the peep hole and not just have a gun in my hand while officers are knocking on my door. I hate that this happened to this person but it sounds like there’s a lot of context not being given.

My first question would be were you a wanted violent criminal. Next, who says you didn’t at some time point your gun towards them. Also, were you honestly attempting to put your gun down. Last, if you were a convicted felon, you can’t own a gun.

I think everybody who has made a comment on this post is ignoring the mean issue I feel like the United States people as a whole should petition the government to remove police is immunity and hold them liable go to court for every single person that they end up shooting if they kill somebody they should have an investigation not an internal but by a whole different group of people to determine whether it was within their rights or responsibilities as an officer or if it was the excessive and charge them with murder and hold them liable and responsible for their actions
