Domestic Terror Fatalities: Since 2001, right-wing extremist violence has been responsible for approximately 75% to 80% of U.S. domestic terrorism-related fatalities. Extremist Murders: In 2022 and 2024, 100% of extremist-related murders in the U.S. were linked to right-wing extremists, with white supremacists behind over 80% of those in 2022. Recent Trends (2020–2025): Since 2020, right-wing extremists have been responsible for over half (54% to 63%) of all murders committed by domestic political extremists. Frequency of Plots: Right-wing extremists were responsible for two-thirds of domestic terror plots in 2019 and over 90% in the first half of 2020.
