I don't think this has anything at all to do with whether dad can feed him or not. She's just controlling and too attached to her son. She's weakening him!!
Why do yall assume the dad can’t feed him? What if the dad got shit the kid doesn’t like? Why would you send your child anywhere without anything first of all? . It doesn’t matter where they go! If they want to snack on something, they can without asking anyone because it’s theirs! they brought it with them!!
It’s a shame this mom has to pack food for her son to take for a weekend visit with his father. She deserves much respect. The family court system that causes children to be subjected to neglectful parents is broken and flawed with the most uncaring judges to ever exist.

Sometimes you have to comply with court orders even when the other parent is neglectful. It took me 3 yrs to get sole custody of my kids despite the fact 5 cps reports were made by mandated reporters. Oh and don't forget the time i had to pick my children up from the police station bc he beat up the new gf so badly he was arrested. You have to do whatever you have to do to make sure your kids are fed and safe. It's not always easy. I hope this mom is just extra but maybe it's survival.

You forgot the couch the toothbrush 3 days worth of clothing plus PJs. Also, toilet paper, television, sheets , towels, futon . Socks underwear, bath soap, shampoo. A fridge to store this in.. Swimming trunks, cell phone, sports equipment, $$ money for activities . you know DAD gonna eat a bunch a that sht too right? Shall I continue?… ok! Aspirins, bandaids, Q-tips, eye drops… a note in his back-pack with the number to 911…
it don't always be the case. my mom would send me to my dad's with hella food, my dad would get mad cause he said it made him look like a bad parent SOME parents just be doing the most and my dad lived better than my mom so I don't know the exact reason why she done this when I went with him but she also knew he didn't allow junk food and was a health fanatic, so the snacks did come in handy when I wanted something other than real food 😂😂😂 as a kid I just always taught they was picking at each other but my mom and dad lived two totally different lives love them both but growing up it was like two different worlds
this is the best mom ever she have a backup plan for just in case she know her child he just might be a picky eater ❤️😁😁

I won't question a mother's decision. I do know starting at around 11/12. Their lil lip starts to get fuzzy and they sit down to half a bottle of juice, per meal.After 3pm, fridge and pantry be under assault. So, those would basically be snacks. Besides, I don't see no packs of bacon or a half a rotisserie. None are complete meal. A salad and lil pasta, ain't nothing but a safety net. He's 11. Now if she said 15? Id say cut the cord...

i sent food over .. my son lived with his dad from 6 til 16 amd every time he came home on weekends holidays amd summer I sent him with food cause his dad was bird feeding him .. he was strict fir no reason .. our son is a stick literally from 6 til now 27 amd he had him on a diet cause his other son was fat

Tbh if I gotta feel like I need to make a food to go bad for a WEEKEND every other weekend we going to the courts that baby must be complaining about not having enough food at his dads and atp it’s too much effort to just send your baby over there anyway
Good job mom this could be court ordered visitation and making sure her child is taken care of especially if there’s a stepmom involved and does not want to share food with her son or the bare minimum or the child goes over there and there is no food and spends time alone all this to possibly avoid paying child support or just to look good on paper. Court ordered visitation is not always in the best interest but parents need to honor it unfortunately.
