HOT

After 5 years you should expect to have all walls painted and all carpet replaced. It’s called wear and tear. Nothing was really that bad.

It won't allow me to upload a lot of pics, I made sure I got the carpet cleaned and I left my apartment CLEAN before the children and I had moved out. God gave me the strength each and every day to keep a clean place. I worked full-time, went to school and took care of my children.

that is normal wear and tear 5 to 10 years scratches on the walls little holes here and there accidents that happen if you have children if you have pets and as a renter it is not their responsibility to repair all that stuff all they have to do is tell the landlord and they fix all that stuff maybe they didn't want the landlord in the house maybe they didn't report it but that's why they pay for security you take the money from security and you repair the things that were broken then afterwards you see if it exceeds the value and then you complain so yes normal wear and tear children pets accidents s*** happens

I mean I guess it depends on if the tenant had kids if it was a big family, or something honestly. maybe it was a family who had kids or someone who just isn’t that carful. I will say the holes in the wall and doors are a bit crazy. but the paint and railings are pretty normal and same with the counters

WHYYYY???!!! 😧 Ok some weathering, but this makes it SOOOOO HARD 4 the rest of us 2 rent when we don't destroy homes!!!! Me & my kids literally have NEVER left holes in walls & have left EVERY door intact- only being charged cleaning fee(even when we clean & bleach EVERYTHING!!!😫🫩) have always received deposits back- but owners r ALWAYS skeptical 🧐 cuz of shit like this!!! RESPECT ppls property- DAM!!!

I always made sure before I moved out of a place that it was spotless and steam cleaned and that if anything was broken (nothing ever was surprising with 3 boys) got fixed or replaced! I also always take a video and pictures of every room before I moved in and on the day that I moved out!

All the people saying normal wear and tear, how is this normal?!?! There’s holes in the walls, a chunk of countertop missing, and doors ripped off the hinges. Normal…..🤨

That was pretty tame after 5 years. Just subtract the repairs from the deposit and return the difference if there is any and move on. That's the life of a landlord.
