After 5 years you should expect to have all walls painted and all carpet replaced. It’s called wear and tear. Nothing was really that bad.
Is no one gonna mention that it’s five yrs later and he’s surprised? Like he never did a routine inspection? Or maybe he didn’t.
So you a slummed lord 5 yrs you didn’t fix the mold didn’t retouch the paint I would’ve left 5 yrs later giving you money and you fix nothing g
it's been 5 years what u expect
Be happy could of been way worse
people have kids and kids tear shit up. get over it. so tell me.. what did all the rent over the past 5 years go to!? yeah my point exactly. paying rent for 1year covers all damage most damgez maybe not all but over the course of 5 years.. yeah.. unless she hardly paid. then that's when you take her to court for the damages but If she paid in full each month then leave that family be. you made a pretty penny off it. pay to have it fixed from the rent you made and move on
It’s actually not that bad!! It gets worse. At least it’s not full of water!!
5 uears...that's actually great condition..I've seen worse from people staying 5 months
wait how the hell the back door coming off smh🤔
easy fix...calm down
Mold in the ceiling, paint chipping of poorly painted railings, railing fell off the walls probably because you didn’t fasten them to studs, which looks like they fixed, poor painted molding, and walls. The walls in the room upstairs didn’t even look like the Sheetrock was finished…. This just looks like an apartment that’s owned by a slumlord.
I work on apartments all the time this is super minimal😂😂
renting is losing
Really wasn't that bad 5 years of wear and tare! I've seen worst! Did you require a deposit?
especially after 5 years
we have had MUCH worse. you sir got off easy. still sucks. we have a tenant of 20 years who's a hoarder. but we cant just kick family out right?
should of done random walk thru once in a while and security deposit is never enough for repairs
if this is the first time in 5 years you've walked into the house that you own tells me that you are not the most reliable landlord you should have done inspections not just collect the check
you didn't want to show too much of that mold on the ceiling did you
should have been doing routine annual inspection
Honestly, that looks great after 5 years! it could have been so much worse.
is that not what the month of security goes to?🤔
That’s normal wear and tear for 5 years. I watch enough Hot Bench to know. 😂🤷🏾♂️
when he say "brand new" he was talking about the paint.
Always put a 9mo inspection clause into your lease
You never went there in 5 years prior inside???
ok you expect the bedroom door to still be there but 5 years dude you have to expect cosmetic maintenance will be required... 5 years that length it's time to paint again
This is one of the reasons why I wouldn't want to deal with Tennants I have seen worse places and what sucks is that some states like Illinois owners can't do contracts no more nor ask for security deposit, worked for a family that owed a few buildings in the city month after month we had to clean an fix up the apartments so yea this wasn't too bad
everything that's 5 years old was literally brand new when people moved in
And tenants wonder why the rent is so high. 🙄
After 5yrs You Should Be Grateful 🤔
Yoo the fridge had a threat note on it 😅
it was all pretty rough but the toilet plunger on the carpet said everything that needed to be said. my face wrinkled up when I saw that.
It took you 5 years to look at your investment? I see that mold on the ceiling! They did that to? I seen worse!! and your lol😂 okay. I would rent from you!!
honestly dont look bad for 5 years
this is why I'll never do rentals
I have had rental properties for over ten years. you are very lucky with the condition. I have done brand new everything and after two years it's destroyed. Even after the application and background check.
Sucks
The fridge has a note saying "if you're here when I get back it'll be a bad day for your family" with an attitude like that no wonder they didn't respect the property - they didn't respect you - probably a slum lord - who threatens tenants - threatening someone's family no matter the situation is a no go zone -
I'm about to move out of my apartment after 6.5 years and there are no holes in the wall or missing doors. there is a broken light switch and heater in living room stopped working when it fell off the wall, but that lr damage was done before I moved in. the paint is all there and the front piece of wood below the sink fell off, but wasn't broken and isn't missing. this is rough wear and tear. and I've had a young child grow up in mine so they can't blame this just on kids, kids don't destroy that badly!!
and people on here getting upset when I say stupidity is rampant. here's your proof
bet they want the deposit back lmao
My car has rust on the rocker panel it was literally brand new 5 years ago I don't know what I did wrong
this guy is so egotistical Glad he's not my landlord
One person could have that cleaned up in a day, drywall and all. Paint the next.
Noooo it’s don’t matter if it was 10 years that’s just ridiculous how who ever did that. I been at the same apartment for over 7. Mines don’t look like that. I say new carpet and paint or a good carpet clean. N it’s me gf two kid.
I was going to say normal wear and tear but nope the video keeps going and it's definitely NOT. No deposit back for them and then some.
ha ha,,, at least you can keep his $200 deposit 😂😂😂😂
5 years ware and tare not to bad i have been in units that the tenant was in for 1 year and alot worst.
Man is living in a fantasy land if he thinks thats bad
Ive seen worse. But doors off the hinges, and holes in the walls? There is just no excuse for that.
This is exactly why when I move I will never rent my house out. I'm selling it!
you probably got about $50,000 from them. why are you complaining
Not bad
looking on the internet we seen worst this look ok...besides the holes in wall and door frame gone even the toilet look decent
I’ve seen and repaired worst. What’s amazing is that there was no service or repairs done in 5 years. There is no way this should have went unnoticed. I will typically get a call for the same properties at least a few times a year . Clogged toliet or sink , tripped breakers , faulty receptacles, etc . Unless these people was evicted and they did this damage on purpose.
ok, at 1200 per month, that's 75,000 dollars, clean it up. move on! I've seen much worse, what are you crying about!?
You let it get run down what you expect after 5yrs of no repairs. those are for the home owner to do not the renters
for 5 years could have been way worse
that's not bad for 5 years I've seen worse after a couple of months
Bro landlord is already supposed to upkeep most of that damage...if I was tenant id be pissed....😅
that's what deposits are for
