School is tough no matter what decade you were born into. We had duck and cover drills, hiding under our desks during the height of The Cold War. You think hiding under a desk would save anyone from a nuclear explosion and the radiation? We were terrified at 5-6 years old. Then if you went to a parochial school, you were beat and terrorized by the nuns in those odd scary penguin get ups with the long thick knotted rope hanging from their waist. And you could only see their mouth eyes and nose. They had no foreheads or ears showing. Those 8 years scarred me for life.

These practice drills are important so kids, teachers and responders get it in their muscle memory. In a real event, people can freeze but with repetitive training, they'll know exactly what to do. 👍
This has nothing to do with ICE. The police are there to carefully take the kids out to their parents after probably getting a shooting in progress phone call. Now they go room to room making sure everyone is ok.

Without the full context of this video, this very likely is an active shooter lockdown drill. We are required by law to practice them in preschool through 12th grade several times a year depending on your state. The lights were not turned off and the children were not barricaded in, so l am assuming that it was a soft lockdown or a practice drill. There are times when during our school drills that the police will come in and take the opportunity to also practice the drill with us. I do not live under a rock and am fully aware of what is happening in our country right now, however, these men didn't appear to be wearing the correct uniforms and insignia and looked more like a school liaison officer and a regular police officer as opposed to ICE. Just my opinion and my 20 years of experience as a public school teacher.
And I remember the days when the biggest crime was getting caught smoking in the bathroom. We did not have to have cops and campuses were closed.
Was a school lockdown. People again just trying to make a situation out to be something it isn’t. “Average day in America.” Please. Queens of the drama.
