... to prove you are a US citizen... you also need your social security card.

Let's see. When I moved to another state I had to bring my license from another state, social security card, birth certificate, and 2 pieces of mail with my name and new address on it. It could be because they want to know who you are, any aliases you might have, and where you are from before they issue you a license. Now, if only Cali had been so thorough before handing out thousands if CDLs.

For the real ID . So your license becomes like a passport. Proves your a citizen.

when I bought my place I'm on now when I went to have services turned on like gas and electric I've got a water well I had to show my social security card my driver's license and I even showed her my VA card you ever hear that word called squatters
well when a country is flooded with immigrants and no one does the paper work well ya have to start from scratch all over again! so get your birth certificate and wait in line 7 for 2 days!!

🤔Because they all switched to Real ID driver's license and just like your passport you have to bring in your birth certificate.

No one needs their birth certificate to renew their license. You do need it to get it in the first place. So much more to say but I will keep it to myself

what have you heard of identity theft you know they got laser printers years ago in Tulsa Oklahoma they had this Con guy he had one of those sophisticated laser printers yeah he was printing cashier checks going around to car lots buying cars and when it went to cash them it was no money there

I have a brith certificate that was issued 1964 it’s not good enough my Mother the actual woman who gave birth standing right there and they said nope. Signed by a General that was my doctor. Had to order a new and improved one. So I feel the struggle.

if they didn't do that you would be upset look I've been dealing with my bank for several years every time I call up to check my account I have to give them personal information the last four of my social my password and some other stuff it's upsetting but it's for my own safety I know some people that knows mine last name they know my social security they know pretty much what they need to know
