its carbide. it starts as a powder that gets pressed into shape. afterwards it gets put in ovens where its "sintered" and becomes hardened. used alot to make cutting tools for lathes and such.

Well, thank you very much for explaining what it is and also I’d like to thank the person that took the time to make this video because only for a moment I thought he was making the worlds largest line in Miami or Columbia but if ever I need a little piece of metal. I’ll remember this guy and call him up as soon as I get some graphite or whatever I need thank you for your information sir and thank you for making this a video. It’s excellent.
