What’s the trick?
Bad eggs will float, good eggs lay in the bottom. I don’t crack them open. It works in the shell. Video is ridiculous!

technically, you're supposed to put the whole egg in the water, if the shelled egg floats it's bad if the egg sinks it is good. if it's halfway up in the water, the egg has couple days of life before it spoils
I do this trick all the time when I have a hangover the egg and a glass of water then I chug a lug it down good for hangover
