If you gotta borrow it twice, BUY YOUR OWN.
I always found it weird that hourly mechanics working under a w-4 have to buy all of their tools. I worked construction for years and aside from your belt and the basics that go in the belt, tools were provided. They didn't expect me to show up with my own table saw and framing nailer.
Why not just say it to his face instead of being nice about it and then texting him as soon as he walks away. Cell phones & social media have ruined healthy communication between people
Exactly!!!!!
maybe the dude just started and ain't got the money to buy one yet dumbasses
so my union provided a generic set of sheet metal tools but definitely not a set that you carry for your career. i have a hammer, folders, and a screw driver 17 years later. outside that ive bought hundreds of dollars worth of tools. small shops dont supply much outside of power tools and safety equipment. big shops however can supply you with a ton of hand tools.
making shit money financing everything off the tool truck. such a fuckin scam.
I learned that it's the 3 time rule. so I bought a snap on ball joint/U joint tool kit, since then (1979) I've used it 5 times! back then it was $300+. ! still glad I have it.
Borrow it once...sure...second time...hesitant...ain't no third...
Obviously this man takes his job more seriously then others: He is always prepared to handle whatever tasks are ahead of him, He has the necessary tools available, He is in uniform, He doesn't bother other mechanics. Leave him alone he's on commission, piece work. If you ain't prepared find another job that doesn't take 100%
borrow once..okay..ask twice...buy it.😳
I know that guy at the job, I hate that guy at the job
I agree
I had the 3 rule.....more than 3 times you need to buy it
