This was in Europe years ago. Marianne Bachmeier shot and killed Klaus Grabowski in a courtroom on March 6, 1981, in Lübeck, Germany. Grabowski was a local butcher and neighbor who let Anna play with his cats. He also was castrated in 1976 as a two-time sex offender who then had raped and murdered Marianne's daughter Anna. On the third day of Grabowski's trial, Marianne smuggled a Beretta pistol into the courtroom. She fired seven shots at Grabowski, with six shots hitting him, killing him almost instantly. Two years later In March 1983 she received a sentence of six years and served three. She never expressed remorse for killing Grabowski. After her release, she married, lived in Nigeria for a time, and later moved to Sicily. She died of pancreatic cancer on September 17, 1996, at the age of 46. She is buried next to her daughter Anna in Lübeck's Burgtor Cemetery.
