Red cap doesn’t have enough sense to check the traffic lights. Car 💯 had the right of way.
The crosswalk indicator displayed a hand. The pedestrian was supposed to stop but he was looking at his phone instead. Sometimes the pedestrians are wrong.

I see this quite often. Total morons.They dont even look. They just walk into the street. I dont know about you, but I look both ways every single time I'm about to walk into the street, crosswalk or not . If a car is coming and it's not slowing down, guess what, I dont step into the street.

Can’t tell if the signal was red or green for the vehicle. In Germany, “every pedestrian” has the right of way over vehicles and you’d better stop for them or find yourself arrested. In the US, if the light was red for this car, then the pedestrian had the right of way even if he “was stupid” enough to not look. Right turns on red are legal with a full stop, not roll, and this pedestrian was in the crosswalk. Bottom line, pedestrian still should have looked!
