Dowsing Rods. Have no clue about you crazy people and your witching water and whatnot, it's just dowsing rods, nothing magical.

It's called dowsing or water witching. It's an old-time method of finding water before digging an expensive well. It genuinely works. As a kid we had a Witcher come out to our farm and he found an underground stream flowing @ 65 feet. Good water, but high Sulphur content & water smelled like boiled eggs. 7mi. from nearest town..we didn't have city water.

There’s a reason it’s call “witching”. I’ve done it and had it work, and other times the demons pulling on those wires lie. There’s no physical reason for it to work. We showed up on a job once to dig a 150’ power service in along a road and there were orange phone locates all down our route. I began digging 6’ outside the locates and promptly dug up a 25 pair phone cable. Turned out the phone company hadn’t been there. An over eager “Witcher” with orange paint thought he would help us out. The demons won that day!

I also did environmental drilling it does work and sometimes not so well depending on the location since I was in Wilmington,Ca off the 110 FWY we did accidentally hit a water main 😂😂 wasn't my fault it was Doug's fault but lesson learned 😂😂

I’m in my 30’s and I’ve used this method multiple times and it never fails but it’s the most accurate reading it can easily be off by close to a foot

i literally would do this everyday locatig water line. bend two lil metal flags and they will move when over the pipe cause the pipe disrupts gravity above pipe.

this is called witching .. the reason it works is due to the static charge in the flowing water.. 😁. you can find aquafer this way.. and even buried power lines... flowing gas in pipes also.. bit tougher with fiber optic lines because they utilize light ...

I can do it, usually within two feet. You can determine the depth fairly close too. I’ve won a few bets off of it.
