#1) we don’t know if this class is ina specialized program… which is entirely possible based only upon the wording of the teacher’s instructions. #2) the child IS paying close attention to the teacher’s instructions. She “appears” to find the teacher’s instructions amusing… as do I if this is an average class with age/class level appropriate students #3) granted the girl’s response is open for opinions, but clearly the clip is edited, so we don’t know the context of the last scene #4) if this was a teacher in my child’s age/grade level appropriate average class, I would be more concerned about the teacher. Inappropriate behavior can be addressed at home by the parent, but a child’s exposure to a questionable teacher on a regular basis can affect the child’s attitude, performance, etc etc at the rate multiplied by 25 students per class and multiplied again by 5-6 classes per day.
Teachers (not all, but most) have failed our children. The things my neighbor’s son tells me, makes me very angry. He dislikes math, so I asked him if he thought a tutor might help. His response was… Don’t worry, all I have to do is show up for class to pass. A large majority of graduates read only at the fourth grade level. He has never been taught cursive writing. He hates math and couldn’t care less, doesn’t read or write cursive and hasn’t taken any civics classes. What’s he been made to do, to graduate? I feel that not only have his teachers failed him, so have his parents. I understand why the Department of Education is being dissolved, because it is a total waste of taxpayer’s funds. He graduates this coming May. I do worry about his future. Unfortunately, I see him depending on one or more of our government programs to make ends meet. This could have been avoided if only our government, the Teacher’s Union, The Dept. of Education and the parents had cared just a little more.
I rather see kids drawing on them selves to be silly than see SH scars… yes you and I are different, I didn’t watch this video and see a future gangbanger/stripper. I saw a child, being a child.
