I was working in the US Virgin Islands on St. Thomas and St. Croix on a long-term contract. I flew back and forth in a little puddle jumper every day. I saw the oil port on St. Croix go dry, and the civil unrest afterward. My hotel was guarded (with soldiers) 24 hours/day. Venezuelan oil was the main import, for the entire oil infrastructure built by US investments. It's about time we reclaim our investments that have benefited China, Iran, and Russia for 2+ decades.
