That's why my dad did the grocery shopping. My mom would buy a bunch of junk enticed by sales. Daddy bought meat and staples that would last the whole month and still stay within the budget. I remember helping to sort meat into family portions and putting it in Baggies with twist-ties. That was before Ziploc became popular.

Because the majority of men are incapable of doing more than one thing at a time!! Bread was the focus and nothing else enters the brain. He may have used the last bit of toilet paper BUT would NEVER THINK 💭 to grab some more!!!!! My husband would get hungry while out shopping (WITH A LIST-that hopefully I didn’t leave something off of—because he would not THINK 💭 of it)—-and stop for food somewhere. Ninety nine percent of the time he would NEVER THINK 🤔 “let me bring something home for the wife”.
