Had a koi I could feed pellets each am
I used to get wild sparrows to eat out of my hand by feeding them raw sunflower seeds on a regular basis.It seemed to be their food of choice. It didn't work with Black birds, Blue Jay's or Robins.

We used to go to the Hatchery near us and it's a feeding frenzy so funny.Ducks are walking on their backs and snatching the bread and the noise is so loud.Bread is cheap 2 for 1.00$ I fed them so much bread I said I ain't got bread at home and stopped🤔 It's really fun for kids I love it.
