Eating a PBJ at the park on lunch break. Noticed a goose near me getting beat up by the other geese. It stayed all balled up to protect its head. I was curious what was wrong with it and tried to throw some bead to it. ThEN the poor goose came up to me and i noticed that had it had a fishing plug stuck on its beak and neck. I did go back and remove the fishing lure..I couldn't stop thinking of the poor guy while back at work. I grabbed some wire cutters from my work toolbox and drove back over to the park. I did purchase my phone on a picnic table to record me catching him and gently removing the fishing lure. I snipped the barbs off first and was sure I removed all the hooks..nothing was left in the poor guy. he didnt even put up a fight once he knew I was helping him..stopped back over the next few weeks and he/she was back with the others. the goose has a yellow stain on its white feathers (only way i could tell it was the same goose) lol
