One of the dumbest things that I have ever seen. Time chain running the water pump inside the engine. Nothing like having a major engine tear down for a water pump. Does it make you think about the old style water pump mount on the outside of the engine. Remove fan blade, fan belt, pulley, water pump.

Actually the chain is a giant improvement over a serpentine belt. The pump bearing goes, the belt slips and you get valves through the pistons.

hope you had your timing chain pinned on the dohc or good luck finding TDC without buying a 100 dollar Manual.

my chrysler is built like that. the first shop didn't get the tensioner loaded right. and wouldn't stand behind it. it ended up being a $1500 repair to do the job right.

What a stupid design! What? No place to drain the coolant out to a point below that pump? Coolant and oil mixed together and everywhere?
