He's obviously never heard of John Crawford III. Crawford was in Beavercreek walmart shopping and talking on his cell phone when he picked up an unpackaged pellet rifle from a shelf in the sporting goods section. Another customer in the store called 911 and reported that a man was walking around with a real rifle and pointing it at people. Surveillance video later showed that Crawford never aimed the item at anyone and was holding it with the barrel pointed toward the floor when police arrived. Officer Sean Williams shot Crawford twice, in a matter of seconds, after he arrived at the scene.
