We are not the best, greatest or strongest country in the world. What made us great was accepting people fleeing from countries that were doing exactly what we are doing now. Our allies are distancing themselves and our enemies are watching. I mean isn't our leader telegraphing our weakness by all his plans to upgrade defenses by building better ships.. etc. That will be ready years from now. Why not just say come on, we are not ready yet.

I love that Jeff Daniels added such a cynical flair to a character who believes individuals have wasted purpose without understanding the origin of our purpose. he knows that a man who can't recognize our creator would certainly not point out flaws from authority, but meticulous credibility. And he knows that even if he won't acknowledge that reality, he can still use his free will to show that he cares for the well-being of a Nation. Regardless of the character he's playing, I pray for Jeff's good faith to find reason where he once placed denial, for, as there is intention for right in his mind but conflict in his heart. I'm sure that is true for many people.

Our department of education has systematically dumbed down our students and we have put an entire group on welfare to put them under government control and dependency.
