I would never pay the fine, and I would fine the HOA $2,000 a day for trying to think that they have a right to dictate what I drive or how I live my life within the community, because you are expressing your right and freedom to have and keep a firearm, which is the HOA trying to violate your 1st, and 2nd Amendments Rights.

HOAs are finding themselves in court more and more often, because property owners are realizing that the rules and regulations put in place by these HOAs actually trample and ignore their constitutional rights completely. HOAs are losing in court, on a regular basis, finding out that those rules and regulations are not enforceable, because most of them are unconstitutional and therefore illegal! please fight your HOAs and take them to court, you'll win, they'll pay for your court costs, and you usually get some extra money as well, for paying suffering and/or fines. it's well worth it, HOAs need to understand they don't create law, and they don't enforce it.
