what in the extra Caucasian is this?!?
Why???
That top layer said "Butterball" on it before it was toasted in the oven
Is it me or did the turkey look better with the towel on🤔🥴
went from dark to LIGHT skin real fast!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🫣🫣🫣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
cheese cloth my grandma used this on her turkeys and whole hamster during the holidays coated in butter for tenderness but now we have oven bags
Bro, I'm going all in on this one...Beast mode. If you have a minute, I'll gladly explain.Based on the image and the context of the social media post, this appears to be a viral "prank" or mistake where someone accidentally (or jokingly) roasted a turkey with the plastic packaging or a protective liner still attached to the bird. What’s happening in the image: The "Skin": The dark, crispy-looking layer that the person is peeling back is actually burnt plastic or a nylon roasting bag that has melted and fused to the turkey. The Illusion: Because it was seasoned and cooked, the plastic took on the color and texture of roasted, crispy skin, which is why the caption says the "Dad thought that was turkey skin." The Reality: Underneath that dark layer, you can see the actual pale, unbrowned meat of the turkey. Is it safe? If this happens in real life, the turkey should not be eaten....You're welcome my people's 🙏 Happy New Year's.
as a cacausian, we do not claim this second set of skin as a normal situation, lol. Please be kind to us... we are also scared by what we just saw
cook the turkey breast side down and it will be juicy 😋
Who raised y'all?
It should’ve been the skin….put back in to crisp it up without the towel 😆😆😆
It’s a cheesecloth yall are dumb
Im with your dad😆
it's cheesecloth. you can soak it in butter before you put it on top of the turkey. helps to keep the turkey moist and crisps up the skin.
Why does It looks sooo dry!!
I am not eating that...looks like a pound of hair
This towel thing is new to me i just learned the steam method in the oven using soaked towels when baking bread also just recently. the first time i heard of towels used in cooking. Personally i like a crispy crunchier skin on the turkey
@ Yes cheesecloth is use for baseing etc. there's always a bully only question unasked are dumb! Culinary School
i never seen one but i have heard of them i guess im dumb for not googling cheesecloth🤔
No one's ever seen it being used on a turkey before that's the problem
rub turkey all over with mayonnaise. now you talking juicy turkey
Why? You can throw all that in the trash. Crazy
Taking the turkey foreskin off is crazy
what in tha what 🤔 🤢 ion want none
Boy what the hell is this mess
cheese cloth!
Cheesecloth
burrrr!!
😂😂😂😂
For the ppl that know, educate the ones that don't. Don't be hateful for them not knowing. There was a point in time where you didn't know how to read and wipe your ass and nobody talked down but educated
Well the towel was at least seasoned 🤣🤷🏻♀️🤣
It might be cheesecloth but It looks good enough to eat!
I've absolutely heard of cheesecloth before but I never heard of it being used this way, live and learn !
People used to use them a lot back in the day! It’s just a tradition or should I say a cooking technique that many women or cooks quit utilizing.
what the f
Why is it a towel on the turkey? 🤔🤦🏽♀️
will that be the first damn towel I ever ate!!!
thought it was skin too
It looked better with the towel on it
don't throw it away don't throw it away put it in the bathroom and use it for toilet paper
Looks better with the cloth on it 😂😂
I will try it 👍
Then what?
Cook your turkey upside down flip it over for the last half an hour. I’ve done this as a mistake cooking one Thanksgiving and never went back so delicious.
why in the holy earth would you put a towel on a turkey
im just used to a cooking bag🤔 or not🤔😲
Poultry cooking bag🤔
sorry i like my skin crispy but last Thanksgiving i got to try mojo turkey it was juicy and it was the bomb sucks i only got a bite and that little bite of turkey was the only thing i got to eat on Thanksgiving
Omg I’m dead looks just like skin 😲🤔
😂😂😂😂😂
Looks gross anyway
just why?????
If that was skin wow how ler.eable is cheese cloth butter the outside
well wtf is it? human skin?
It’s cheesecloth to saturate in butter to keep meat juicy. However I’m sure this has nothing to do with being Caucasian as I learned this from my African American husband who is a chef smmfh
A cloth? Why?
it must be a northern thing
negative lol 🤣
we have never used a cheese cloth on our turkeys; we smoke ours every single time and it comes out juicy and moist and very tender. (We smoke it with apple chips)!!!! ummm so good!
😔 😟 🙁 😥 😞 😔 😟 🙁 😥 😞 😔 😟 🙁 😥 😞
I’m white and I never use a towel to cook anything.
I don’t blame him I woulda thought the same thing
The towel will look better than the turkey
Me too shh
