a modern car is a network, and most of the lights, switches, buttons, sensors, etc are just modules that send messages to the network. that's why you can buy an aftermarket car stereo now that will tell you stuff like your oil pressure and trans temp, because the radio is just another module on the network... the visor could be a canbus module, and made that way so that opening the mirror turns on a map light on the rear view mirror or something... that's kinda silly at face value, but users want "smart" things, and pay a premium for them. I think this is fake, but it's plausible.
