if you catch somebody stealing anywhere within the borders of your property, it should be considered your "domicile", and it should be legal for the homeowner to defend it with deadly force! this should be the intent of the "castle doctrine", and not restricted solely to the interior of your home!

These porch pirate says they’re so-called, or nothing more than common diseases. Since there’s pictures due to doorbell cameras, I think the police should pursue them as active criminals, and treat them such. Make him sit in jail, till they’re up to appear in court, I’m not the judge to decide whether or not they get turned loose or not. These people are just low lives as far as I’m concerned. Instead of going out there and getting a job, they choose to steal from others, then turn around and put it online and sell it for the money. That is so totally disrespectful of the people‘s rights that merchandise belongs to the in the end. It is such a disservice to other victims, you can’t even get packages anymore, delivered to your door, without attracting the attention of the stinking porch pirate. They’d stomp it if they realized that other porch pirates are getting arrested, jailed, prosecuted, and sentenced, in the order

This guy doesn't look like the typical porch pirate we're led to believe steals the bulk of packages; he's obviously had a difficult time either through addiction to drugs or alcohol or mental illness perhaps PTSD. He looks very much like someone I know who served in Afghanistan for four years,was discharged honorably and struggled for years with PTSD. He would disappear for months sometimes years. The last time I saw him was when he died in a homeless shelter for veterans. He was.my brother. We loved him very much. .
