Thank you! Who did whites apologize to for being white? I have never met anyone who felt guilty about being who they were born to be. We don’t want an apology, just acknowledgment that you realize that you have benefitted from the fact of your skin color all of your lives. Even if you are at the bottom rung of the race/class ladder to success in this country, you still have race as an advantage. We must understand that all poor people suffer so the rich become richer; believer me, the powerful do not care who they keep downtrodden!
