Guys...honestly some of yall are LOUD & wrong! Education sites say it better than me so here ya go: Fish breathe, but they use gills to extract oxygen dissolved in water rather than breathing air with lungs. AND Ice cover makes it harder for fish to breathe because it acts as a barrier, preventing oxygen from the air from dissolving into the water. It's not difficult to research things.....

That might work. Thats why live well buckets have aerators if not that dumping water in it aerates it and they stay alive. Shake your water bottle and take in more oxygen — see how that helps you too!
