So true! I'm 74 and if a child hollers for their MOM, I look to see what's happening. Once a Mother always a Mother!

I wasnt able to have children, but when a child yells for their mama, I will watch or help them find mama, lol
I never realized it before seeing this video & after reading the comments that for me it is a natural instinct to look in the direction of a child calling out “mom”. Not if they are in my peripheral vision. I’m talk about like the next isle over, out of my eye sight for example. When a child calls out the word mom it’s because they are in need of something. Something as little as for u just to look their way. I unconsciously look to make sure that child is heard by his/her mom. Now that I’m thinking about it when I hear a kid call mom & I look up & don’t see a mom then I automatically stop to figure out where mom is. So yea it’s interesting to know how aware the word mom is to my ears, even still my kids are grown. There is no way I could hear a kid saying mom & not look in that direction. 🥰

Absolutely! I was at my daughter's bus stop the father of one of the boys walked away to talk to another mom and I felt the need to be his child's babysitter without being asked to watch him. Just instinct I guess so if I hear a child yell mom my instincts activate
