My husband and I were in Kentucky and a bunch of large rocks and boulders came down on us and a huge rock rolled under the truck and took the whole entire driveshaft with it! The truck was totaled, but we were so blessed that we didn’t get hurt!😢 So scary 😨 🙏🏼

These types of landslides are all to common in Nepal and India. It really messes up people’s work, school, and other plans. There is no bathroom, no way to get something to drink or eat unless you happened to have brought something. Sometimes both sides of travelers have to turn around and try to find someplace to stay, eat, get fuel because it might be a day or two before the road is cleared and the side of the mountain is as secured as they can make it. We’d try to avoid mountain travel in the rainy seasons in Nepal and India.
This happens a lot in Colorado and when it does you’re reminded exactly why those mountains are called The Rockies!

There's a road in Clintwood, VA, around a mountain that's a one lane or used to be. My cousin drove us around to the other side. You can't see nor tell if another car is coming. He made me so angry because he had to go back the same way! I thought surely we would die. I was told they had 2 lanes, but one just decided to drop off!!! I wondered why with today's rigging, another lane couldn't be added or carved out all my life. Well, I guess if landslides do look like this one, you would not be messing with any part of a mountainside! 👍😲😲😲😲😲
