Please, as a retired truck driver, allow me to chime in. He should permanently lose his CDL as well as his job. I would like to know the full context of this situation. For his boss and a cop to pull up on him indicates he was probably stationary, maybe sleeping it off, probably on company property. If that's the case, any criminal charges should be based on that, or whatever the specifics are. I bet he won't be making that mistake again, thank God.
He wasn’t driving anywhere. He was at a truck stop. But…you cannot ever be drunk in your truck with the motor running and you cannot ever have alcohol in your truck.

when i drive OTR,I Didnt consume anything other than coffee or water,maybe a dr pepper now and then until i got home.3.5 million miles without an accident in 35 years.only a couple bullshit tickets but nothing serious.Retired now,for last 6 years.
