A homeless woman got something stuck in her throat and out of nowhere this young lady did the Heimlich maneuver, saving her life. 911 was called and she went to the hospital.

It wasn't done quite the way it should be done. I taught this procedure for years and wish more people who weren't health care professionals would take CPR and "choke saver" courses. Anyone who is trained can potentially save the life of a person who they are near. Acting quickly may be the reason someone survives cardiac arrest or choking, or survives without noticeable impairment.
