Not sure how not talking about it, solves the problem and blaming the little girl for what another child did wrong. Because you as a teacher are choosing not to protect your students and you act like it’s not a big deal. Of course it is a big deal, it’s a huge problem when you’re doing nothing to deal with these situations and then causing further damage by teaching a child to lie to their parent and to act like nothing happened and like it’s her fault. Yeah I’d not only fire her as the school board. But they need to address it with the other student and their parents!

She needs to be fired and every parent whose child has come in contact with this teacher should sit their kids down and ask about any discussions they may have had where this teacher told them not to tell their parents. I attended an all girls private school and our guidance counselor used to have inappropriate discussions and tell us not to tell our parents! My father never said anything to me, but I caught a glimpse of his leaving the school the next day when I was changing classes! How dare you teach a child to lie to their parents.

Many of us would like to see this teacher fired but unfortunately she likely won’t be, it’s likely she’ll get some from of sensitivity training and that’s it. I also really would like to see more accountability on her part as well but from the recording it seems seem she still do not think that she mishandled this incident.
