In the final analysis, it's always some decision - and decision alone - that causes the calamity.

whats true for me, is life without guns. my best life would be in a world where parents never get that call.

I've lost family to drugs, gun violence and alcohol. And from where I stand, they chose that life. A drunk is going to find a way to drink. They drink mouthwash when they don't have access to alcohol, or they make the drinks from fermented fruits and vegetables. Smokers are going to smoke. Violent people will find a way to get guns and other weapons and drug users will do whatever it takes to get high. When I was in the Army, in Basic Training, a couple of soldiers were caught sniffing air freshener through towels to get high. People always find a way to get what they want.

Very well said. We know that it's about being a bully and flexing our military muscle to go after their natural resources to claim them for the highest bidders.
