Being pregnant doesn't mean you can't work. I worked till I was 8 months along. I had to quit because the Dr. said I might loose the baby if I didnt stay off my feet for the last month. Both parents should be responsible for the child's welfare

Support and maintenance of the child should be 50-50. If it takes $250/month to care for the child, he should be liable for $125 and she should be liable for $125. Otherwise there's no motivation for her to get off her lazy ass and take care of business. AND, it's not my job, or your job, to pick up the tab while she sits home and collects welfare, SNAP and housing assistance. We have created parasites, and it's now become generational.

I think the courts should look at the couple as a whole and take everything in consideration. It’s easy for us to say the mother needs to be working, but the child will miss out on valuable bonding time. No one would argue if a White woman says in court I’m a homemaker or a stay-at-home mom. It’s only when a person of color says she’s not working we criticize. It’s not a racial issue as much as a societal problem we have. We’ve been programmed to think there’s a difference

I worked raising 2 sons with NO child support because of a deadbeat father who refused to pay child support. I sacrificed to pay child support. No extras for me, just all my income to raise my sons.
I know women out there have a child by several different men . granted some of those men have same children by different women but. some are hard working with stable homes child should be with the most stable parent regardless of it is mom or pop. otherwise child should be with relation if possible or in a complete stable home approved by state .

So the question of the hour: If you know child support is going to hurt you, then why the hell are you not using contraception of any kind????
And unless you have some kind of medical condition, being pregnant doesn't mean you can't work unless you're doing heavy lifting or some kind of job around chemicals etc.
Just because you don't work and you're collecting child support doesn't mean you shouldn't be providing for your child also. I feel bad for my son because he has to pay a lot in child support while she's living off the government now because she got fired from her really good paying job.

This is the one time I say the judge is using her own agenda . Someone’s personal life choices especially if the person is taking care of a child that is 3 and younger or you have medical issues it’s none of the worlds business as long as the kids are cared for .
