what type of fish were they, and where were they. Used to able to throw a cast net in upper Tampa Bay and catch mullet like that. I remember throwing a 5 or 6 foot. azt net and filling cooler with bait in one toss. The mullet were so thick, that as a 12 of 13 yrs old healthy, strong kid, I couldn't get the net back up on the sea wall it was so heavy wish fish. That was mid 1970's, when there was still rural areas within 5 or 10 miles from TIA and orange groves all the way to the Gulf! " The good old days". Now, it's strip Malls, concrete and subdivisions.... and TRAFFIC!!!
