It’s prison food you eat whatever everybody else eats. If you don’t like it, don’t go to prison.
I've never heard of someone allergic to fish.....that seems a little sus. Also, he has other food on the tray, eat that, and stop complaining. If you want good meals to eat, don't go to jail.

When you first come in on the new, they ask you about being allergic to anything,
fish Friday every week in the county I live in. If you have allergies you have to blue kite a nurse tell them and you will get double Mac and cheese, or potatoes it rotates every week.
Yes FISH ALLERGY IS A REAL THING...So isnt sesame seeds, nuts, eggs,milk and many more. Guard couldve shown some decency and at least asked. Guy was asking nicely. I wish they served more fish there because fish is a very good brain food. Perhaps better diets outside the pen wouldve returned less men and women to it. just sayin

These “who cares?” And “don’t go to prison” comments make me wonder about all the people who have not a shred of compassion.
When you first walk into the prison system, you are asked several times what is your religion and what are you allergic to. They have special diets and kosher meals. They don't serve pork in prison at all. He must have told them he wasn't allergic to anything because they would've gave him Peanut butter and jelly or kosher meal.

In prison THEY ARE NOT ALLOWED TO NOT TO ACCOMMODATE IF YOU HAVE FOOD ALLERGIES, THEY MUST GIVE HIM SOMETHING DIFFERENT AND IT MUST BE SEPARATE FROM WHAT HE IS ALLERGIC TO HE'S ALLOWED TO HAVE A SPECIAL MEAL.

For those of you thinking you can't die from being allergic to fish....or think he can "eat around it" are totally nuts. I remember years ago , my friends daughter had a school trip. They were going to Red Lobster. She told her she couldn't go because she knew she was allergic. Her daughter was so mad , said she wouldn't order anything with fish. She said it's not that simple, there's cross contamination, people may not be washing their hands completely, or switching gloves after making something with fish in it, right before making your food. They make mistakes in restaurants all the time. I know you've heard of little kids getting served alcohol. That happens all the time.....so if you've got vegetables and the you plop some fish in there, how would somene determine what the fish touched or didn't touch in order NOT to die?🥶👍🏾
I know a great way for the state to save money on meals for inmates and prisoners of every jail in prison in the country. All the wild boars throughout the country especially in Texas Louisiana Georgia, all the wild boars could be rounded up slaughtered for food. it would save the environment by eliminating the problem that is tearing up Farmer's grounds and give food for the prisoners they either eat it or starve to death

to say he was shocked they got fish I've done time in 5 states and Fridays was fish in all of them
yeah it's jail food. it's not always right. and then they spend like 6x times the possible amount to pay themselves to grow and produce the food and make it 10 times worse than is usually possible at an extra cost.

Yes people can be highly allergic to fish if the allergic food contaminated the food bad things can happen or worse. Just because people are in jail doesn't mean that this is ok these are human beings. Yes they are in prison doesn't mean they should be treated like this
