Also would've faced a long talk about much dogs cost to feed and pay Vet bills and how my allowance didn't cover it... also would've been told I was the one who had to pick up its poop every day! 🤔 When I was older my parents did agree to get a dog. I didn't have to pay for his food or his Vet bills; however, I did have to pick up his poop in the yard every Saturday... as part of my weekly chores.
Take a trip to the vet, get it checked for a chip, no chip then start asking around in the neighborhood and if no one claims this dog then I would keep it. Letting it run free could cause harm to the dog and mom could show more passion. 🐕❤️

That was me as a kid... My parents wd take stray cats that I wanted to keep and load em in the car while I wasn't looking, drive somewhere secluded, and drop them off. One time in particular, my mom had my sister write a note in cursive, threw some sparkles on it, and said it was from the cat fairy. That cat supposedly "made it 2 a good home." I doubt it, tho... I still can't stand my mother, 40 yrs later!
