Why don’t vendors just make better shoes?

Such very, very rude remarks just because some folks know ballerina shoes need to be beaten and grated. If they are not dancers why would they need to know. Lack of kindness is a real problem in our world.

shoes' toes (the stiff "box") to customize them for comfort, support, and performance, softening hard areas for better articulation while strengthening others, and sometimes darning or cutting the tips to mold the shoe perfectly to their unique foot shape for artistry and to prevent injury, a process essential because store-bought shoes are too rigid and generic.

Another technique is slamming them in a door.

And it’s also used as safety-ballet girls/boys grate their shoes so when they are on stage they don’t slip and fall hard.
