I leave skins on.
This will save me a lot of precious time this Christmas when I make Potatoe Salad. I have to make a 5lb bag of potatoes. It takes forever to peel them after their cooked.
Just peel them then cut them, in desired size, too make what you want to make. If you like the skin keep it! Damn, that is doing too much work you could've did before cooking l.

I did this twice for a church function; once for Thanksgiving and just this past time for Christmas dinner. Not as clean, but it did get rid of the skins.
to make the best mashed potatoes, bake them per Alex Garnaschelli (sp) I made my mashed this way for Thanksgiving and they delicious 💕. thanx for the tip Alex. 💕💕
For about 1/25th of the time, you could just peel them like a normal person.
The potato looks mushy
Maryann from Gilligan's Island showed this in her cookbooks.
They do not taste good after being cooked this way. Have tasted some that others cooked this way and would never cook a potato this way.
