Everybody in this comment section is trying hard to hide nothing lmao, just let him hook up to the obd2 port and scan your car for a min lmao. Especially if you have nothing to hide, it’s such a minor inconvenience lmao, you’ll spend longer arguing with him about it than you would if you just let him scan it and be on your way lmao

he can compare the VIN that he sees on the dash with the motor vehicles department data it is printed on every registration including the VIN. no need to let him hook up to vehicle to surreptitiously steal other information that he can use against you.

he really wants to see if its been modified if he hooks to the obd port it will give him everything it will also give him his speeds and launches to see if he has been racing since cars now have a black box kind of like airplanes. there are a bunch of reasons you want to keep your 4th amendment in tact in this situation.

My answer would be no absolutely not! Nothing unless you obtain a warrant to do so! You can change your horsepower with a handheld OBD two device!

I dont support thieves or those who do. Rolling around in a stolen vehicle would make the driver one and the same as a theif
