grab a 5 gallon bucket put some water in the bottom. ( few inches of water) then rub peanut butter on the inside just outta reach of the mice. they can't resist it and will drown quickly. works everytime

They sell humane traps where you can catch it in a tube and let it go. Works great and you can let it free in your mother-in-lawβs place.
