Putting a banana in a car's exhaust pipe will not cause the car to blow up. Here is what would actually happen... The pressure from the exhaust gases when the engine starts would almost certainly and immediately shoot the banana out of the tailpipe like a projectile. This was demonstrated as part of a test by the TV show MythBusters, where various objects were instantly propelled out of the exhaust system. If a car's exhaust was completely and perfectly sealed, the engine would likely stall quickly because the exhaust gases have nowhere to go, preventing the intake of fresh air. However, a soft banana is highly unlikely to create a sufficient, airtight seal. Modern cars also have sensors and small weep holes in the exhaust system that allow pressure to escape, making a complete blockage virtually impossible with a banana. A fully effective blockage could cause problems in an already old or rusty exhaust system. A prank can be dangerous if the banana is ejected at high speed. 🍌=🚫🔥
