What’s really sad though is that the restaurants forced them to put it in the trashcan? The restaurants could just let the employees give out the stock that’s left at the end of the night to the homeless instead of making them pick it out of the trash, but laws are regulations say they can’t do that so they have to throw it in the trashcan to make them degrade themselves just a little bit more to pull it out of the trashcan to feed themselves. At least it looks like they put it in a clean bag with nothing else but food because a lot of places will mix an actual trash with the leftover food so it can’t get eaten by the homeless. The amount of food waste we have in the United States is unreal and the amount of starving people we have in the United States is unreal. The amount of homeless veterans and children and elderly is unfathomable the amount of unused buildings houses in real estate is unfathomable and yet we never put two into it together to make 4.
Thanks to the establishment for letting them know, I hope more do. We're headed towards not only a homeless crisis BUT a hunger one as well. If it's not a nationwide problem it will be soon.

years ago I worked at a restaurant and one night a couple went in our dumpster and got some food. the next day they tried to get a lawyer saying the food made them sick. restaurants have to be careful with their waste. it's better to put it in the dumpster and let them get it. no lawsuits

It's a health code ,technically the food has been sitting out to long, considered contamination has set in,can't be sold, if someone get sick they can be sued ,so it's tossed at the end of the day, nor can they give to homeless same rule, so they throw it out, trash no one can sue,all restaurants do it...
At least they tell you when to come instead of putting it in the dumpster. Some of the employees take it home and let the kids pig out.
