Ok the cashier is bad at math but what about the customer were they just working a scam
the math don't work no it is not 5.00 or 3.00 it is 2.00
I just read, don’t remember where it was, but schools no longer have to pass math:science:English to graduate from high school, it was said that it is prejudice against black students, I don’t understand the reasoning here

They don't teach them how to count your change back to you, they press a button and it tells them how much change, but I guess this guy was absent that day.
Unfortunately younger people don’t learn how to count back change anymore. They count on the computer telling how much to give back. Another way of dumbing down the people. I teach them how to count back change and they pay attention and are grateful. It isn’t their fault, it’s the schools.
2.00 is correct, and I am sad education failed the cashier but the other person is scamming and part of the reasons costs go up. Losses equal higher prices.
Am I the only one who wonders where and when people started doing this: 5$ instead of $5? What is this all about? It's not just kids who do it, either. People in their 70's do it, as well. SMH.

When I was a teenager, I told my dad I wanted to be a waitress at an A&W drive-in where the waitress wore roller skates. He said that I'd have to know what change to give back to the customer. He started throwing math questions at me and I was not getting the answers right so I went to work for the government...as a security specialist not a mathematician. 😆😲🤔😂

l went to buy dishes, and the power went out. At the register, things were being done manually. The cashier pur the 5% tax in her calculator as .50. I told her it was .05 as .50 is 50%. She said I didn't know what I was talking about. I left the store never to return even when they had power.

Went to a ice cream shop. Had 2 ice creams that Cost 9 dollars and change. Girlfriend gave her a 10 and exact change. Could not figure out that she owed her a dollar. 2 kids probably 17-18. Both of them had their phones out using calculators and Still didn’t believe that was what she got back in change.

I gave a cashier 5.02 for 3.02 charge. She handed me back a single dollar, 3 quarters, 2 dimes, and 5 pennies. She has already rung up that I gave her a five dollar bill but couldn’t figure out the change with the 2 pennies. And yes that long long stare came with it!
