There is an employee you don't need any longer
HIPPA only applies to businesses and employees linked to Healthcare. Not even law enforcement is bound by HIPPA laws and they are first responders.
if you call in sick they can ask for a doctor excuse
HIPPA law is not YOU giving medical info. it would be if a 3rd party gave your info. Also, in most places, employers can ask for documentation of you have been out for more than 3 days
He is an American. He has a right to his own body.
hipaa protects your medical information from being shared without your consent. It doesn't cover for you when you dont want to go to work. If its company policy to get a doctors note, you need the doctors note. A note that simply says you went to the doctor isnt part of your medical information.
jokingly I use that to go home early... my fish has drown.. I need to set up funeral arrangements..
so someone could have diarrhea and be in the bathroom every minute and are not going to go to the doctor for that but still cannot attend work!!!!
Most places only require a "doctor note" after 3 days out sick and that note doesn't violate any HIPPA laws it simply says you were under a doctor's care on a specific date... You just don't want to work...💯
you don't need to give a reason for calling off.
hippa shmippa, guy is unemployed in a week. pick and choose your battles. you gonna go to war over something so trivial shows a toxic person.
PTO is a great thing, sick leave is also ! & now a days you cant even get a dr.s appt the same day !
go to thee emergency room and pay 1500 bucks for a note ,ya right !
good job put it to the corporate man and God bless use all with good health in the year 2026
Put doctor's behind me after them going against the Nuremberg Code and Hippocratic Oath during COVID. People are slow to learn about how the Rockefeller Family destroyed medical smarts in 1913 to du.b down America. IT'S COMING THOUGH, COMMON SENSE WILL RETURN 😉
Folks can't afford to go to a Dr. with all the coinsurance costs/co-pays and deductible costs it is unaffordable. Make it affordable.
ur golden poneyboy! this is purely gold 🪙🥇
You cannot ask what is wrong with an employee, but if the handbook says you need a doctor’s note, then provide one. If an employee is good multiple days then provide one, if the employee is frequently sick they will typically need to supply one.
Doctor excuses usually only say you were seen...not what you were seen or diagnosis
I was feeling really bad and ask if I could take half a day to go to urgent care. I was told no or I'd get a point if I left. I went to urgent care who sent me to ER. Told my Dr what happened. After reading my chart and knowing it would be an issue with my job he signed papers to submit to job. I have been out for 6 months with pay....😅
In an "at will" state they don't need a reason to fire you.
legally they can only ask you if you think you're contagious. They can't ask your symptoms or anything.
Genz gonna have Blue Tooth job.
I would think that the only time people would have to get a doctors note is calling in sick more than once then it becomes a problem! If your sick more than once in a year then there's a big problem!
LOOOOOOOL Not bad! I like it!
I have PTO ..paid time off to use as I see fit. Mental health is just as important as physical health. I am the kind of employee that usually doesn't use all there PTO. But I need a day to keep my sh@t together..Im taking it!! I have a the right..Jobs don't own you...they rent your services. Believe you me, no matter what the employee hand book states it's business policy is. If they fire you and its doesn't fall within the states guidelines your getting paid either way..unemployment. In which case If your state offers further training or education programs..Please take advantage of them. So you no longer have to deal with minimum wage BS.
Ask AI. Yes, an employer can ask for a doctor’s note in many cases. •No, they usually don’t have to for a single sick day—unless company policy allows it. •In Texas, the employer has more discretion than in some other states.
so if you wake up with a sore throat, instead of taking some asprin and a bit of hot tea with honey, you should go to the emergency, and pay a couple hundred $$ because of course the dr needs you to have an appt first... fk that policy!!
thats how you get demoted
I guarantee some idiot is going to try this BS 😁😂😁😂
And youre no longer an employee.
wrong dude. a company has EVERY right to see a Dr. note or not pay you for your "sick" day. and if you break their rules they can write you or even fire you. the Dr. note does not break HIPPA law you dont need to tell them what's wrong only that you went to the Dr. and are cleared to return to work
they dont have to have a reason to fire you where im at
You’re right it is against HIPAA law. They cannot ask you what’s wrong.
"😸 save his fish from drowning"🐈
hippa protects what's wrong with you or conditions you have a doctor's note does not have that info on it so yea they can ask for a doctor's note its company policy. they aint asking what's wrong with you just proof you were at the doctors
Is that a calculator watch?
Show up sick. That’ll get you sent home.
clearly a really poorly staged and scripted video . so tired of these tiktok infestations of trash videos ... and it's so disturbing how people don't recognize they're scripted b.s.
I bust out laughing when he said he have to save his fish from drowning LMAO 🤣🤣
Just go to work and poop yourself. Get a few days off instead of one
who the f wants to work with him anyway
terrible skit... all he did was record the other voice using another microphone. use a remote controller out of camera. he controls all of it.
he will be terminated soon
I take it this guy calls in a lot. Fire him the first chance you get😆
check the laws. sometimes they can ask for a dr note but you have so many days before that can be asked. in colorado if they call off 3 consecutive days we would ask for a Dr's release to return. I would also tell management that I wasnt going to work sick as a fever, cough, vomiting, diarrhea could set them up to contamination (food industry) and id follow up with we can call health and food inspectors.
Need to save my fish drowning 🤣🔥
that's fine. your final check is in the mail
as an employer I can ask for a doctor's note or terminate the employee, I agree that there is a hippo violation because the person that tries to treat his self is not a doctor and doesn't know what is wrong with himself, plus long term medical has to notified to the employer so we can start looking for a replacement. 2 days un excused from work than I can fire on the third day, in a 365 day cycle.
