I've lived in government housing and I wasn't privileged. they talk down to you. pop up like that can come over when ever they want. refuse to fix simple things. I had a job while raising my 2 boys on my own, no child support. no family to help when their sick. try going to a food bank when you spent your last so they have clean clothes and the food bank person ask you all the personal questions, making you feel bad, putting you down cause you need help with food for a couple days till your next paycheck. people that have never struggled will never understand. but trust my boys always had 3 real home cooked meals a day plus snacks, a nice clean fun boys room clean nice apartment, duplex or house. fresh haircut and were enrolled in after school activities

I told him he must be on welfare cuz he needs to look it up because his mom supports him because he's too lazy to get a job. and he was probably in his thirties

The hardest part of going to the food stamp office in the late 80’s was seeing the nice cars in the parking lot, the well dressed kids/people wearing gold jewelry in their new shoes with their new hairstyles. 😔 It was hard to see. It’s even worse seeing the piled high buggies full of expensive meats, sodas and junk when those of us that work our butts off can’t afford…
