That will never be as strong as the original
Thatβs not it. Immediate fail as soon as they are put under load.
and that's why when you get this one on Amazon it comes pre-broken from the mishandling it to let you know that it was already broken before you got it not on Amazon or throwing them under the bus but I'm just saying it's the reason why it's called refurbished reused junkyard steel
Now you people gotta know that sure as hell was a waste of time
Never do this...just replace
why pour soft aluminum to repair cast steel gear?
visual fix mechanical failure
This is why our π© donβt last or break
looks legit
I don't think that would work, is that lead? if so it's pliable, not strong like steel, might get you by until you replace the gear though π€·ββοΈ
what kind of alloy is that? what temperament are those machine screws? because for this repair to last, the screws should be grade 8 and idk what kind of alloy but would need to be as strong as the steel it's replacing...
π€£ How long will that aluminum hold open?
India does it better
how to make it appear that you momentarily fixed a gear
nice work
wrong
it's now much weaker aluminum
thats so dumb
wouldn't last five minutes
everyone saying 'not gonna work' don't know that it's going on ebay next
That will hold for about three rotations.
Thatβs not gonna happen here itβs going to fail just because he used aluminum on steel! Dissimilar metals will fail!
Temporary fix. Bottom line.π
If those 'teeth' were made of anything organ Hardened steel... Then it was a total waste of time.
Lead wonβt last a week
The tolerance is so lax. Want work under a load.
The screws werent even the hardened type. GL
It's already separating
If the βoriginalβ castingβs teeth broke how can these new ones of a softer metal be a real FIX? Not possible but i can appreciate the craftsmanship and work that was put forth in tho in vain.
yeah that's gonna make it a day before the lead is gone, worn off
