What are these used for?

I did a favor for a trucker years ago that had 2 of these on his truck and needed a place to store them for a couple days. It took our B-16 Towmotor 16K forklift to get them over. If that much weight gets loose on a moving truck, bad things are going to happen.

In my opinion, after just watching four of them pop standing in them straight up is safer than having them roll into traffic or into the cab when they pop. they only go about 5 ft out when they roll unless something stops them. they could crash into multiple things killing multiple people, when they pop, unless you're getting immediately smacked by the thing it's not going to do anything to you. if it hits your car in that way it's going to make some dents. it's not going to crush your car
